Have you ever wondered who the regal looking German Shepherd dog is in the website banner on this page? This was PSD Brit (police service dog). Brit had an active service career with RCMP K- Division for about 6 years. He was multi-talented and was used to sniff out incendiary devices (bombs) as well as being a member of the ERT (emergency response team). Although small in stature he was renowned for his enthusiasm for the job. Brit retired to Dr. Harris' acreage and passed away in 2008. Brit's successor PSD Badge is now actively policing with his (and Brit's) handler Cst. Joel MacKown.
